A new multimodal literacy that is required in order to find our way around the emerging world of meaning.

I understood that multiliteracies is a revolution in education leading to inevitable major shifts or changes in pedagogy related to technology and human values. It’s about the nature and future of learning, new teachers and new teaching, formal and informal learning settings, and hopes of developing more dynamic and engaging learning environments or learning in communities of practice or action. Multiliteracies in the millennium is what was literacy in the “60s” for the 20th century.

The purpose of multiliteracies is to extend literacy teaching for our new times, i.e. creating lifelong learners who are FIT (Fluency in Information Technology)and able to live with confidence in a new constantly changing society or world. More about this later, in next cycles of Vance's current course.

Resources:
- http://l-by-d.com/
- http://workplacecultures.com/books/multilit.htmlButhaina Alothmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06028368714413825813noreply@blogger.com6
